The news in detail
Designed as a transitional space between initial orientation and practical implementation, this intensive seminar exposed participants to the demands of entrepreneurship and financial management.
An immersive experience focused on economic realities and professional conduct
The program was structured around practical modules designed to provide project leaders with lasting skills:
- Cash flow management and financial discipline: Mastering the basic concepts related to distinguishing between personal and business finances, and applying management ratios tailored to very small businesses.
- Entrepreneurial analysis: Sector-specific case studies to identify common management mistakes, strengthen project viability, and structure the customer approach.
- Communication and public speaking: Exercises in presenting and promoting individual initiatives, preparing participants for visibility requirements and evaluation reviews.
Practical Lessons and Engagement Dynamics
Observation of the work sessions highlights a consistently high attendance rate and sustained commitment on the part of the participants. The initial methodological decision to eliminate any monetary incentives (per diem) has proven to be a relevant screening indicator, enabling the recruitment of a group focused on the intrinsic value of their project and their own motivation.
The evaluations conducted at the end of this module attest to a generally solid level of financial autonomy within the cohort, validating the relevance of the methodological support provided by the WE CAURI NGO team.
Co-creation and Collective Responsibility
Beyond the technical contributions, this boot camp put into practice the principles of collective intelligence specific to the program:
- Accountability for deliverables: Direct involvement of the young participants in the production and editing of communication materials, leading them to fully embrace the rigor required by their professional commitments.
- Support for local initiatives: Taking into account family and local entrepreneurial dynamics through concrete feedback rooted in Abomey’s real economy.
Next Steps
The program continues with post-bootcamp support, individualized follow-up on action plans, and preparation for end-of-program evaluations. Through this pilot phase, WE CAURI continues to rigorously document its intervention model aimed at promoting youth employability and financial inclusion.
