The news in detail
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the CAEB Center in Abomey, the young people selected for the first cohort of CAURI CONNECT reached a decisive milestone. Following the initial orientation phase, this session marked the concrete transition to the program’s operational phase.
Commitment Through Action
The goal of this session was to enable each participant to translate their ambitions into a clear career path and to organize the cohort’s mutual support network. Through role-playing exercises, participants validated their goals and developed realistic individual action plans based on the resources available in their immediate environment.
Synergies and Collective Responsibilities
The session saw the formation of four career tracks (Hybrids, Entrepreneurs, Employment, Social), fostering the pooling of skills within the cohort:
- Pooling of expertise: Collaboration among peers enables tangible acceleration of technical and digital projects.
- Ethical commitment: The program established a collective trust agreement, under which each member commits to rigorous standards of responsibility, validated by external certification.
Toward Greater Autonomy
Work is now continuing through a phase of inter-session activities. Each participant has embarked on a professional development cycle (digital tools, networking) and is rigorously tracking their goals. This stage confirms the validity of WE CAURI’s working hypotheses and demonstrates young people’s ability to shape their career paths with determination and autonomy. This rollout represents a major step forward in the validation phase of our support model.
Reminder: CAURI CONNECT is an employability incubator for young people aged 18 to 35, led by WE CAURI.
